Makaan tyrmässä kivisellä vuoteella.
Kietoutuneena liinaan värisen kylmästä.
Tummat hahmot seisovat liikkumatta vartiossa.
Kaltereiden takana avaruuden armoton yö.

Olen tänne teljettynä vastustajani kanssa.
Kirkkauden hetkinä taistelen häntä vastaan.
Peilin tavoin hän heijastaa kaikki iskuni.
Rikkinäisten kätteni veri roiskuu seinille.

Verijäljistä muodostuu sanoja,
sanoista kirouksia,
kirouksista runoja,
runoista rukouksia,
rukouksista mantroja,
mantroista loitsuja.

Toistan houraillen säkeitä seiniltä
niin kauan että ne menettävät merkityksensä,
halkeavat kuin hauraat munankuoret

English translation:

PRISON / TEMPLE

I lay in a dungeon on a stony bed.
Draped in a cloth I shiver in the cold.
Dark figures stand still in guard.
Behind the window bars the merciless night of space.

I am imprisoned here with my adversary.
During moments of clarity I fight against him.
Like a mirror he reflects all my punches.
The blood of my broken hands splashes on the walls.

The blood stains form words,
the words form curses,
the curses form poems,
the poems form prayers,
the prayers form mantras,
the mantras form spells.

Deliriously I repeat the verses on the walls
for so long that they lose their meaning,
craking open like frail egg shells,
pouring their thick blackness over me.

I become one with my adversary.
Now I see it: it is my own shadow.
The bars are pillars, the guards are statues.
This prison is a temple which I am myself.
