Asfaltti kohoaa, halkeilee
allaan nousevien juurten voimasta.
Ihmisten silmälle hitaasti työntyy Maailmanpuu
hauraan kivikalvon lävitse.
Syöpäläiseksi itsensä alentanut jumala tuhoaa itse itsensä.
Jäävät jäljelle vain kivi- ja teräsrauniot,
jotka hukkuvat kaiken peittävään kasvustoon.
Nostatan tämän laulun muistomerkiksi
hukkaan heitetylle potentiaalille.
Sen viileässä varjossa lepään
kunnes sekin katoaa lopullisesti.

English translation:
For the destruction of the world of man!
Asphalt is rising, cracking
by the force of the roots growing underneath.
Slowly for the eye of man, Yggdrasil pushes
its way through the fragile stone membrane.
The god which abased itself into a vermin will destroy itself.
Only the stone and steel ruins will remain,
drowning in growth that covers everything.
I raise this song as a memorial
to wasted potential.
In its soothing shadow I rest
until it will disappear too.

liikkumattomana, puun kaltaisena.
Kasvan hitaasti kohti taivaita.
Kurotan juuria kohti helvettiä.
Kaiverra kaarnaani käärmeenpyörä,
itseään ahmivan pedon merkki
sekä riimut, jotka eivät katoa,
vaikka puu niiden ympäriltä kuolee.
En tahdo kaatua maahan lahonneena.
Tahdon nostaa oksani aurinkoon
