Marmoriset patsaat murenevat
Norsunluiset jumalankuvat kaatuvat mahdottomuuteensa
Temppelin peruskivi vajoaa suohon
Revennyt esirippu palaa

Ikiaikainen routa sulaa
herättäen muinaiset tuntemattomat horroksestaan
Muinainen jää yhtyy mereen,
Synnyttäen nälkäisen Leviathanin

Armoton isä riisuu naamionsa
ja me näemme hänen armeliaat kasvonsa
kokonaan kaikessa korventavassa kauheudessaan
ensimmäistä ja viimeistä kertaa

Kultavainiot peittyvät vereen, tuleen ja ruttoon
Tuhkan alta avautuu seitsemän miljardin joukkohauta
Ankara äiti surmaa ja syö lapsensa
raskaana uudesta luomisesta

Pitkän talven jälkeen savupilvien varjo hälvenee
Uudet puut kohoavat puhdistuneesta maasta
oksillaan tuntemattomat linnut ja käsittämättömät laulut,

Marble statues crumble
Ivory idols fall in their impossibility
The foundation of the temple sinks in swamp
The torn curtain is burning

The sempiternal frost melts
awakening the unknown ancients from their hibernation
The ancient ice unites with the sea
giving birth to the hungry Leviathan

The merciless father takes off his mask
and we see his merciful face
in its entire searing horror
for the first and the last time

The golden fields are covered in blood, fire and plague
Beneath the ash a massgrave of seven billion opens
The harsh mother slays and devours her children
pregnant with a new creation

After the long winter the shadow of the smoke clouds clears
New trees are rising from the purified earth
with unknown birds on their branches, singing unfathomable songs
which no one is present to hear
